Quest Mall is the official app for the shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Kolkata. It carries live offers and campaigns, store and brand directories, event listings and a loyalty programme, giving the mall a direct channel to shoppers instead of relying on signage and social posts.

A mall companion app is a loyalty product with a physical venue attached. The mechanics that matter are points, tiers and redemption, and the constraint they operate under is that the redemption happens at a counter — so the app has to produce something a member of staff can verify quickly and cannot easily be faked.

Push notifications are the channel the whole thing depends on and the easiest to misuse. Retail apps have a well-documented pattern of being uninstalled after over-notifying, and the offers people actually respond to are the ones that arrive while they are in the building rather than at eight on a Tuesday evening.
