IslamicBrain

A complete Islamic companion for daily practice. Built and shipped by devShakib.

IslamicBrain is an all-in-one Islamic lifestyle app: prayer times and a prayer tracker with streaks and statistics, Quran audio and translation, hadith, duas, the 99 names, qibla direction, a zakat calculator and a fasting tracker. It adds gamified IslamicPoints and a leaderboard to keep daily practice consistent, plus themes, widgets and notification controls.

A daily-practice companion is a scheduling problem before it is a content one. Prayer times are computed from the sun's position for a given latitude, longitude and date, and the major calculation methods disagree — particularly at dawn and dusk, and severely at high latitudes where the sun does not reach the required angle at all. Which method a user follows is a genuine preference, not a default to pick for them.

The direction of the Kaaba is a great-circle bearing rather than a straight line on a flat map, and it needs the device compass corrected for magnetic declination. Audio and notifications on top of that make it an app where being wrong is noticed immediately.
