Live price data is the part of a crypto client that is harder than it looks. Markets never close, so there is no quiet window to reconcile in, and prices arrive as a stream rather than a page — which means handling reconnection, backfilling whatever was missed while the socket was down, and rate limits that most public endpoints enforce aggressively.

Precision is the other trap. Token prices span many orders of magnitude, from tens of thousands down to values with eight leading zeros, so a fixed number of decimal places is wrong at one end or the other, and floating-point arithmetic on monetary values introduces errors that show up as prices that do not quite add up.
