Voice Recorder

Record from your microphone and download the clip. Free, runs entirely in your browser — no signup, and nothing you paste in is uploaded.

Recording from a microphone requires explicit permission, and the browser will ask — that prompt is the security model working, and a page cannot start capturing without it. It is also why recording only works over HTTPS.

For anything spoken, the room matters more than the microphone. Hard parallel surfaces produce reflections that no processing fully removes, so a smaller soft space beats a large empty one every time. Get the level right while recording too: a clipped waveform has lost the peaks permanently and cannot be repaired afterwards.
