Lorem Ipsum

Generate placeholder text by words, sentences or paragraphs for your mockups.

Placeholder text is a design tool with a specific purpose: it lets you judge rhythm, line length and hierarchy without reading the words. Latin works precisely because it is not readable — English filler pulls the eye into comprehension, which is the thing you are trying to switch off while looking at shape.

The known cost is that it flatters a layout. Real copy has short headings and long ones, awkward names, numbers, and a paragraph twice the length you planned for. A design tested only on even Latin blocks tends to break the first time it meets a genuine sentence, so it is worth a pass with real text before shipping.
