Jump the obstacles in this endless runner that speeds up the longer you survive. Chase the distance record.
The endless runner in Chrome's offline page shipped in 2014, and the joke is deliberate: a pixel dinosaur because the connection is extinct, in a monochrome style borrowed from the earliest handhelds. It is probably the most-played game nobody chose to install.
Mechanically it is a reaction test with a moving floor — speed increases steadily, so the window between seeing a cactus and needing to jump narrows until it approaches human reaction time, around 250 milliseconds. There is no winning state, only the point at which the input latency of your own nervous system runs out.
