PlantPal

A charming offline plant-care companion — track watering, fertilizing and health for every plant you own.

Overwatering kills more houseplants than drought. Roots need oxygen as well as water, and permanently saturated soil suffocates them — which is why the advice is almost always to check the soil rather than follow a fixed schedule, and why a plant that looks thirsty is sometimes drowning.

What a tracker is genuinely good for is the variation. Watering needs change with season, light and pot size, and a record of when you last watered each plant is more reliable than memory once you own more than about three. Fertilising is the other half, since most potted plants exhaust what the soil holds within a couple of months.
