Tap-to-encrypt any file with a password — your key, no cloud, no recovery backdoor.
File encryption with a password is really two steps, and the second one is where the strength lives. The password is stretched into a key by a deliberately slow derivation function, because that slowness is what makes guessing expensive — a fast derivation means an attacker can try billions of candidates against your file.
No recovery backdoor is the honest position and it has a real consequence: a forgotten password means the file is gone, permanently, with no support ticket that can help. That is not a limitation to work around. It is the same property that means nobody else can open it either.
