Decide what to focus on before the clock starts — a calmer pomodoro. Offline, on-device.

The standard pomodoro starts the clock and then asks what to do, which puts the deciding inside the focused time — the most expensive place for it. Naming the intention first is a small reordering with a real effect, because choosing well takes a different kind of attention than working well.

It also gives the interval a finish line. "Twenty-five minutes on this" ends at the clock; "draft the introduction" ends when the introduction exists, and the difference determines whether you can tell afterwards if it went well.
