Generate and decode every ID format — UUID v4/v7, ULID, NanoID, Snowflake — instantly, on-device.
Every identifier format encodes a different priority. UUIDv4 is pure randomness and unordered. UUIDv7 leads with a timestamp so inserts stay near the end of a database index. ULID does the same in a shorter, case-insensitive alphabet. Snowflake, from Twitter, packs a timestamp, a machine id and a sequence number into 64 bits so distributed nodes can generate without coordinating.
Decoding is the underrated half. A time-ordered identifier carries its own creation timestamp, and a Snowflake carries which machine produced it — which turns an opaque string in a log into two facts you would otherwise have to go looking for.
