GPA and grade calculator — weighted GPA, what-if targets, and a per-course grade breakdown. On-device.
Weighted GPA differs from unweighted in a way that catches families out: weighting adds points for harder courses, so scales run past 4.0 and two students with identical letter grades can have different GPAs. Institutions also recompute using their own scale, so the number on a transcript is not always the number that gets used.
The genuinely useful calculation is the what-if. Working out the grade needed on a final to reach a target turns a vague worry into a specific number — and sometimes into the more valuable discovery that the target is already out of reach, which changes where the remaining effort should go.
