One daily offline dose of wonder — a single real fact a day, no feed, no ads, no rabbit hole.

One fact a day is a deliberate rejection of the feed. Infinite scroll works by never providing a stopping cue, and the absence of that cue is what turns two minutes into twenty — a fixed daily item ends on its own, which is the entire design.

There is a learning argument too. Spacing beats volume for retention, so a single item you actually read is more likely to stay than fifty skimmed. The offline part follows from the same logic: no network means no recommendations, and no recommendations means no rabbit hole to fall into.
